How do you change an upside down day to something more fun?
I woke up this morning feeling tired and moody. And I just couldn’t shake it off. It seemed as the morning progressed, my mood was spiralling downwards. My negative self talk was churning around my mind as if on a non stop merry go round.
I wanted to get out of my gloomy mood but was struggling. I looked in the fridge … mmm … found some cherry coconut chocolate fudge. It didn’t satisfy. I drank more water, as sometimes that helps. Nope. I put on The Secret Dvd. Whoolah, it worked. It reminded me about how our thoughts create our mood and result in the experiences we obtain from life. I then hopped on my computer and wrote out some affirmations for myself. This always uplifts me. Why didn’t I think about this sooner? I guess being trapped in my negative self talk about how I would never escape my drowsy mood wasn’t helping.
Now I am feeling much better. Why? I took time out to focus on something that is passionate to me in my life. My dreams in becoming an International Best Selling Author. And you know what? Just writing my dream excites me. Tickles me. Gives me goose bumps.
Does your dream do that? If not, why waste your time on a goal that only half interests in you, when really you want something much more wilder than you have ever dreamed before. Don’t let fear or negativity stop you. Just go for it. When you realise that nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams, that a no from one person doesn’t mean your dream career or lifestyle is over. Obstacles and challenges will arise, not only making you more stronger but more creative in how you jump over them. You will achieve much more than your dream. You will have achieved a strong belief in yourself about your so called limitations. You have set the bar for yourself so much higher and you will know that really when it comes down to it, you can achieve anything.
