Time for fun

It’s time for some fun.

I don’t know about you but I easily get swept away with everything I need to do each day. And it doesn’t make me smile or laugh or have outrageous giggle explosions. Instead I work away cleaning and cooking and in my non existent spare time I spend staring at my computer screen thinking of all the things I need to be doing while trying to work out which one to begin with. In the end I achieve a lot of tasks, but how much of it is fulfilling? Life changing? And even perhaps a little fun?

Yes I love seeing the results of my hard work and I gain satisfaction from this. But what about letting lose? Whatever happened to taking time out and putting chores aside to just live a little?

Work and chores will always wait for us. So who cares if the kitchen isn’t immaculate for a small part of the day? Why does one feel guilty over this? Where did being a perfectionist and super Mum come about that we spend all our free time cleaning?

I get enjoyment from opening a box of chocolates. Sounds a bit sad doesn’t it?

Time for some change my friend. I challenge you and me to do one fun thing every day. No matter how small. Don’t feel guilty about this time out. This is for you. And I bet at the end of the day when you think about what you have achieved, this one moment will be the most rewarding memory of all.

What do you do for fun? What new things do you seek to experience in life? Please share it with me. I am always seeking to try something new.
